Mike Novotny has launched and scaled multiple award-winning customer service teams, including the BARK (NYSE: BARK) Happy team, known for its radically personal customer service that mirrors the joy of dog ownership in every interaction. Mike is currently President of BARK Air, the world's first airline for dogs, which he helped launch and scale to weekly domestic and international flights, providing premium hospitality and service to thousands of dogs and their parents. He previously served as BARK's COO through its seed-stage growth to IPO in 2021.
Mike's prior consumer retail experience was as GM of JackThreads, where he led operations and helped grow the company into a $100M business and the fastest-growing on Internet Retailer’s Top 500 list.
Mike began his career in finance with roles at Lehman Brothers and SAC Capital Advisors. He has a BS in Economics from NYU and an MBA in Strategic Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
